Moving Lights on Mars’ Surface

The Mars Curiosity rover has sent back many interesting photos. Some were just rocks, others contained dead pixels mistook for something else but there are some that have remained unexplained. A recent batch of eight photos shows what appears to be a shining orb moving around the martian surface.

Its movements seem to follow a controlled pattern and the fact that it changes its position in the field of view suggests it is not a dead pixel or an image artifact.
As always, NASA will provide an official explanation. It’s everybody’s choice whether to believe it or not.
