Mysterious Sarcophagi Watching over Peru

Peru is home to numerous strange and unexplained structures. Located north of the city of Chachapoyas is an ancient site called Karajia. It is home to six strange sarcophagi called Purunmachos. They are located halfway up a steep and inaccessible cliff which attests to the importance of whoever they house.
Each sarcophagus is 8 feet tall (2.5 meters) and has a head ornamented with horns and skulls.
Since their discovery in 1984, the Prunmachos have never been thoroughly studied.
