The Ghoul

The Ghoul is a horror creature, in general, they described it as a one-eyed with a focused red pupil, she lives by eating the flesh of human beings while they’re still alive. She can turn into various forms, like an animal or a devil or it can disappear altogether. It is said that when a Ghoul is struck with a sword, it would beg for another slash to be put out of its misery.

Once a noble knight ought to know better though, that when a Ghoul is struck with a sword once, it dies; but if it’s struck again, it comes back to life and eats him. In Egyptian folklore, “Ommena El-Ghoula” is an ugly female, evil witch that uses black magic.

The Ghoul

But In the Arabian countries she’s different they described her with long fangs and hooves, the Egyptian mothers used to scare their children if they went too far from home to play she’ll come for them. The Ghoul tracks those kids and kidnaps them and eat them … some say she eats whatever she can reach of human flesh as we said earlier. An old story in Morocco that a woman and her baby were walking in the forest at night, and it was raining hard so she had to find a shelter for her and her baby.. so she found a small cave with a door on it and she knocked on the door several times an old ugly lady opened the door as she was cooking stew, she asked her if she could stay the night at her cave and the old ugly lady agreed .. but the old lady was staring at the baby all the time and her mother noticed that there is something off with her, the old lady asked the woman if the baby can sleep with her that night because she loves children but the woman refused … in the middle of the night the woman woke up and saw a creepy shadow in the kitchen she saw the old lady in her true form and she was talking to someone about cooking the baby so the lady took her baby and managed to escape the cave. The Ghoul also gets help from the man with the burnt leg if her victim was hard to catch.
